● Width: 18 cm
● Height: 2.7 cm
● Weight: Approximately 1.5 kg (dish only)
● Wooden Base Dimensions: Slightly larger to support the dish (varies slightly with the base material)
Care Instructions:
● Before First Use: Rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly. Do not use soap or detergent, as it can strip the seasoning.
● After Use: Clean with warm water and a soft brush or cloth. Avoid using soap, and never use harsh abrasives or steel wool.
● Dry completely after washing to prevent rust. You can heat the pan on the stove to ensure it’s fully dry.
● Re-season occasionally by applying a thin layer of cooking oil or butter and heating it on the stove or in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about an hour. Let it cool down before storing.
● Storage: Store in a dry place, and avoid stacking heavy objects on top of the dish.
Safety Precautions:
● Handle with care as cast iron retains heat for a long time after cooking. Always use heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts when handling the dish.
● Avoid sudden temperature changes (thermal shock), such as placing a hot dish in cold water. This could cause the cast iron to crack or warp.
● Do not leave the dish unattended on a heat source, as overheating can damage both the dish and the seasoning layer.
● Ensure the dish is fully dry before storage to prevent rusting. Even a small amount of moisture can cause rust spots to form.
● Use wooden or silicone utensils to prevent scratching the surface and to preserve the seasoning.
● Keep the wooden base dry, as exposing it to excess moisture can cause it to warp or crack.
● Keep away from children when in use, as the dish will become extremely hot and may cause burns if touched directly.
